Privacy
Batosathi collects only what the product needs, and nothing is sold or shared with advertisers.
What is held
- Your email address, for sign-in and messages.
- Watches: the places, dates and limits you set. A watch is deleted 30 days after its last travel date.
- Channels: how messages reach you. Channel addresses are encrypted. A channel is deleted with your account.
- A delivery log of what was sent and whether it arrived. It holds no message text and no address, and is kept 90 days for support.
- Source snapshots of public weather and warning data, kept 90 days for audit.
- Your beta consent: the version you agreed to and when, kept for the life of the account.
- Feedback you send: the category, message, an optional watch, and whether you allow contact, kept 180 days.
Invite codes are stored only as hashes, with their use count and expiry; the code itself is never stored.
What is not held
No analytics trackers, no advertising, no third-party scripts except the map tiles. Server logs are kept 30 days and contain no personal data by policy.
Your data
From your account settings you can download everything Batosathi holds for you as a JSON file, and delete your account and its data at any time. Backups age out within 35 days.
